Abstract

Keywords: Content Analysis Rubric This research was conducted on Daily Newspapers Tribun Kaltim by taking the title "Content Analysis Rubric Salam Tribune" on Daily Newspapers Tribun Kaltim edition 1 to 31 August 2005. The purpose of this study were (1). To find out what the theme is presented in every statement that is in the Rubric Salam Tribune Newspapers Daily Tribun Kaltim edition 1 to 31 August 2005. (2). To find out who becomes the target of any statement contained in the existing rubric Salam Tribune on Daily Newspapers Tribun Kaltim edition 1 to 31 August 2005. Data collection was performed under the overall rubric of how to read existing Salam Tribune, then the contents of each statement which also is the data collected and grouped by categories that have been made. The stages of data collection include: 1. Collect all the Rubric Salam Tribune editions 1 to 31 August 2005 with how to create clipping. 2. Classify each of these statements in accordance with the categories that have been made that the theme category / categories of facts and goals. 3. Enter all data in the worksheet that is a check list based on category. The data analysis technique used is the technique of mass media content analysis. According to demand rather than research purposes then there are two categories of selected categories of themes and categories of targets. The results obtained based on the results of the study were: that the themes that emerged in SalamTribun Rubric found on Daily Newspapers Tribun Kaltim quite diverse but the number was not proportional, meaning that there is a theme that is too dominant, while there is also a theme that once minimal and did not even appear altogether. The theme of the most widely emerged during the study period (August 2005) is the theme of Economics. While the target of any statement contained in the existing rubric Salam Tribune Newspapers Daily Tribune in East Kalimantan is also varies between individuals, communities, and institutions. But what dominates is the target that is addressed to government agencies.
