Abstract

Keywords: Keywords: Performance Comparison of Banks, Financial Ratios, conventional bank, T-Test This study aimed to compare the performance element conventional finance in 2004-2008 period by using the ratio finance. Financial ratios used consisted of CAR, NPLs, ROA, ROE, BOPO and LDR. On the basis of predetermined criteria sample, two samples obtained research, namely Bank Mandiri and Bank BRI. The analytical tool used to prove the hypothesis in this study were independent sample t-test. The analysis conducted showed that overall performance Bank Mandiri and Bank BRI over the period 2004-2008, Bank BRI has better performance overall compared with Bank Mandiri. BRI Bank's financial ratios (NPLs, ROA, ROE, BOPO, and LDR) better significantly compared with Bank Mandiri, while the Bank CAR BRI poorer quality. Variables of financial ratios that are more dominant in At Bank BRI namely NPL and ROE, while the Bank Mandiri variable ratio dominant in the CAR and ROE ratios.
