Abstract

Background: CVA infarction or commonly called ischemic (non-hemorrhagic) stroke is a functional disorder of the brain in the form of nerve paralysis (neurological deficit) due to disruption of blood flow to the brain. In an ischemic stroke, blood flow to the brain stops because a blood clot blocks the blood vessels. Deficits in the nervous system that cause obstacles to the motor system due to the absence of stimulation from the nerves that trigger the cerebellum and cerebral cortex which control body movement patterns. A stroke causes motor skills in sufferers to experience weakness or hemiparesis. Hemiparesis is weakness on one side of the body and is a motor block that is very often experienced by stroke sufferers. This is caused by reduced muscle tone so that sufferers are unable to move their bodies (immobilization), so they need to be given mobilization support, namely range of motion (ROM) exercises.
Objective: For this reason, this final scientific work aims to describe the intervention analysis process of mobilization support with range of motion (ROM) exercises to increase muscle strength in patients with accidental cerebrovascular infarction.
Method: the research used in compiling this scientific work uses case study reports. The author follows the scientific method according to the rules of the nursing process. In the assessment process the author used various data collection techniques such as observation, prioritizing nursing problems, carrying out nursing actions, evaluating nursing actions and collecting various data from patients, namely Mr. D and Mrs. S.
Result: After carrying out a nursing assessment and data collection, the researcher focused on diagnosing Physical Mobility Disorders related to decreased muscle strength and decreased muscle strength of the right leg.
Conclusion: Based on these problems with subjective data from the child's husband Mr D and Mrs S said that the patient experienced weakness on the right side of the body and had difficulty moving. Objective data: the patient appears weak, the patient's movement is limited, the muscle strength of the right hand and leg is 2, and the left hand and leg is 5. To overcome the main nursing problem, researchers provide mobilization support interventions with range of motion exercises (ROM).
