Abstract

Creativity is an important aspect for children to face their tighter future in global competition. By this creativity, the child would actualized and expressed themselves by keeping themselves busy to do something fit with their thought and needs so that they became a creative person. Creative personality development should be started in early age since in this age child was in rapid progress for their next life. Through symbolic game, child could stimulate their creativity andimagination since the game is a game which used certain object or material to be symbolize into what they wanted as their function and used so the child could imagine the role they played according what he/she saw before or according their own idea about characters they played. In this research, there were 8 kind of game. Some of them cooking, market, houses, doctor, schools, railway, ghost or singer. The research aimed to find out the influence of symbolic game to the early age child’s creativity. Method used in this research was experiment approach using free variables consisted of symbolic game and creativity as dependent variable. Data arrangement was done by three ways, they were verbal form creativity measurement for pre­test and post­test, symbolic game for treatment and observation along treatment. Data found by 17 students of PAUD Ar­Rahman, where 9 children as experiment group subject and 8 children as control group subject. Group determination was done by random assignment. While data analysis used Independent simple test by SPSS version 13.00 for Windows program. From data analysis found t count for pre test and post test aggregate test in experiment and control groups for 4,753 in significance 0,000 which means that the significance was smaller than 0.05. So that could be aid that there was influence of symbolic game to early age children creativity.
