Abstract

The research based on phenomena of existing various communication tools. Competition of communication tools also increasing, causing the wireline communication tool became the only existing communication tool when the cellular signal didn’t existed. Though many people used home phone as communication tool with its existing feature, many of them didn’t use the feature. The writer interested to find out how people perception who didn’t use home phone features. The research aimed to find out people perception at Landungsari Indah Housing Group in using a product, home phone with its existing features. Public relations is a management function which determined public attitude, showed policy and procedure from individual or organization based on public importance and do workplan to get understanding and public attention (Glenn and Denny Griswold). Public relation activity basically was communication activity. The major characteristic was two ways communication, it so important in public relation activity. Feed back was the most important principle in Public relation. The research used quantitative approach used variable equation and statistical test. Data collection technique used questionnairre and documentation. Population in this research were all wireline customer at Landungsari Indah Housing group Dau subdistrict. People fitted the condition was 20 people, while samples in this research were all of population. Sampling technique used total sampling, then collected data was analyzed through frequency distribution and score guide for perception. Research at Landungsari Indah housing group people showed that the people who wanted, believed, and supported wireline features were average 53,93%, but people knowledge was low with average 63%. According to whole analysis, there found mean score 2.12 which mean positive. There could be concluded that Landungsari Indah Housing group people perception was positive. The result could be recommended for further research and for PT. Telkom could be consideration for the next reference in a product.
