Insomnia is one of psychological disturbance with symptom difficulty to initiate sleep and maintain sleep in which these disorders occur for at least a month. Because of difficulty in falling asleep and awake all night making sleep quality of the individuals are insomnia to decrease. And this will gradually disrupt the function of the individual, whether in social’s performance, occupational and other important functions. Because of that fact the aim of this research is knowing whether the hatha yoga as treatment can help people suffering from insomnia becomes easier to initiate and maintain sleep. This research apply in experimental methods, using a quasi experimental design model with a nonrandomized pretestposttest control group design. The methods to collect of data using a PSQI and interviews. To analyzing the data here is using statistical analysis as test. Results obtained from the experimental group after the treatment given is that there is t value as 4.569 at 0.002 significance level. At the time of followup t value from the experimental group insomnia symptom score is 0992, at 0.002 the level of significance, while that changes has not occurred in either control group from pretest to posttest as well as followup’s phase. So it canbe concluded that insomnia’s symptoms of subjects experimental group significantly reduced after applying yoga, which means there is influence from yoga to reduce insomnia’s symptoms.
