Abstract

Type of research is applied research which is a type of research conducted within the framework of solving a problem. Type of data in this study is data in the form of journal or documentary reports from Bank Indonesia and the Internet. Data used in the research is a cover price (close) of each exchange U.S. $ / USD and JPY / USD The decision to invest for investors is the actions that contain elements of uncertainty and high risk because it involves a decision on the future. Technical analysis is one way to analyze which one is right now in the investment for a profit. Technical analysis is more focused on the study of past foreign exchange data in compiling quantitative and graphical methods to predict or forecast the forex in the future. Therefore, in order to face these risks, investors need the analysis to take investment decisions in accordance with the desired destination. In this study, the authors use technical analysis and moving average line charts. From the discussion above it can be concluded that technical analysis is an appropriate tool that can be used as one tool to predict foreign exchange rates in the years to come by especially for the currency U.S. $ / USD and JPY / USD with respect to the second intersection line moving average which indicates the beginning of a new trend, so that investors can properly enter the market position.
