Abstract

ABSTRACT The printed media that circulate in the community turned out to contain many elements of sensuality leads to pornography. Authors interested here to analyze the content of pornography on various printed media, as well as how the police effort to handle the existence of this printed media. In this research, the author uses legal-sociological approach, in which the author analyzes the printed media are published in the jurisdiction of local Police of Malang. The experiment was conducted in Malang Police with the data source as interviews, observation, and documentation. For data processing, the authors used a qualitative descriptive analysis. From the research, based on the author analyzes the media in July 2010 edition of Maxim, FHM July 2010 Edition, The True Story Tabloid Edition 323 / 01 s / d August 10, 2010, Memo Arema Thursday, July 15, 2010, and Memo Arema Friday July 16 2010 contained pornographic content in accordance with that mentioned in Article 1 of Law no. 44 of 2008 on Pornography. This is contrary to Article 4 of Law. 44 of 2008 on Pornography. Police efforts to cope with pornography violations by the printed media in the jurisdiction of local Police, among others, are as follows: (1) Police received reports of Malang pornography criminal violations by the printed media, (2) Gather information relating to criminal violations of pornography, (3) Legitimacy in the form of a letter requesting confiscation of pornographic materials from the chairman of the District Court, (4) Consider further steps such violations to the printed media distribution or publishing ban, however, until now the procedure has not yet been carried out by Police in Malang. Police barriers in preventing violations of pornography by the printed media in Malang jurisdictions are: (1) No public reports relating to violations of pornography by the printed media, (2) The difficulty in analyzing the difference between erotica and pornography that is contained in a printed media. Being a solution to overcome these obstacles include: (1) To act proactively in order to obtain a printed media that violates the provisions of pornography, (2) Bring in experts in the field of law to analyze the content of printed media.
