English is one of the obligatory subjects which are tested in the national examination. Students who do not pass national exam will not pass their study. Attitude is one of the factors that influenced the students’ success in learning English. It has three components, namely students’ belief, students’ emotion and students’ readiness to respond. The purpose of this study is to describe the students’ attitude toward English as one of the obligatory subject at SLTPN II Sudimoro Pacitan. The method that is considered appropriate in carrying out this study is descriptive research. The population of this study is the second year students of SLTPN II Sudimoro Pacitan and the sample was 28 students. This study used questionnaire that were distributed to the students. The result of this study showed that the second year students of SLTPN II Sudimoro Pacitan had good attitude toward English. Although their attitude toward English was good, it was not supported by their environment. Therefore, the students still got some obstacles. Finally, the school and the English teacher are suggested to create programs related to English, make the school more comfortable for the students, and give the students a new healthy and fun environment during teaching learning process.
