Based on the interview that has been done to the biology teacher at Junior High School I Modung, it is known that the number of student who were active when the teacher gave explanation, question, and discussion about the lesson were 5 students. That is why the result of this learning is not maximal. This case can be seen from the total score of test at IX grade which has 20 students. Students who got score ≥ 75 were 11 persons on the growth and development material and 16 students got score ≤ 75 on the same material. Based on this condition the teacher needs a learning method that entangles the students actively in learning process. A learning method that is focused to the students’ activities is cooperative leaning. One of them is NHT. This technique gives an opportunity to the students in giving idea to consider the correct answer. Beside that, this method stimulates the students to increase their learning spirit. This research is aim to know the activities description and the result of students learning at IX grade at Junior High School I Modung. The approaches and kind of this research used qualitative and action of class research. This research was designed in 3 cycles and consists of 4 phase that ware covers planning, executing, observation, and reflections. This subject of research was students at IX B grade at Junior High School I Modung, Bangkalan. The procedure in collecting data were observation, gave tests, and note of field. The data analysis was done at the end of learning activities. The data that has been gotten includes learning activities and learning result. Students’ activity was counted by using percent of students’ activity according to the level of success from the level hardly less up to very good finitely. The result of learning was counted by using percent of students learning complete. The result of this result shows that the percentage of students’ activity increased 25% compared to the activity in giving material by discourse method, question and answer and discussion. This case is shown at cycle I up to cycle II that increased 7.5%, that was from 71,2% become 78,7%. At Cycle III the percentage of activity increased to 16,3%, from 78,7% become 95%. Learning result at cycle I when a pretest was given, students who were complete classically was 40% and after a post test was given, the number become 85%. At cycle II, students who were complete classically in a pre test was 30% and in a post test become 80%. At cycle III, students who were complete classically in a pre test was 50% and in a post test become 95%. Based on the result of this study, it can be concludes that applying Numbered Heads Together Method increase the activities and students’ learning result.
