Abstract

The research aimed to find out leadership style in Sengkaling Recreation Park of Malang, find out work motivation in Sengkaling Recreation Park of Malang, and also find out whether situational leadership style has significant influence to employee work motivation at Sengkaling Recreation park of Malang. Data analysis technique used scale rate and multiple linear regression. From the research, there found that leadership style used in Sengkaling Recreation park of Malang directed into consulting leadership style, it based on scale rate calculation which showed that task behavior and relation behavior of Sengkaling Recreation Park was so high. Employee work motivation at Sengkaling Recreation park of Malang was high. According to statistical test or empiric condition in the company, there found that task behavior, relation behavior, work maturity and psychological maturity was a factor decided employee work-motivation and influence with determination coefficient 0.869, which means that the influence contribution was 86%. Next, after t test, task contribution influence was 86%. Next, after t test, task behavior variable, relation, employee maturity and psychological had significant influence to employee work motivation. According to the research, suggestion to be given was: in order to make the leader more flexible in applying leadership style by applying fit leadership style with subordinate character, tried to reckon the subordinate needs, paid attention to the maturity condition and condition of each subordinates. The leader should also able to make policy to support/motivate employee to the work done, also deciding positive attitude like fluid policies or even force to create interpersonal harmonic communication which build comfort work environment.
