The study, titled "Greetings Words Language Analysis in the Environmental Rural Community Madura Pamolokan Sumenep Madura" is focused to explain and illustrate the word Madurese language greeting in rural communities Pamolokan Sumenep Madura. The purpose of this study is to describe the form, function and meaning of the word greeting that exist in rural communities Pamolokan Sumenep madura. The benefits of this research, among others, for the reader, the results of this research are to be used as additional knowledge, especially the preference in the region Sumenep Madura. For Indonesian teachers, the results of this research are to be used as teaching and learning materials especially for local content learning the local language, particularly with respect to the preference contained in the Madurese community. For further research, the results of this study can be used as input for further research. The results of this study can be used as an illustration to determine the use of the word greeting Madurese language. The research method used was descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was done by (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) note. The data that have been generated will be processed by data processing procedures as aberikut: (1) sorting the data, (2) checking the data, (3) coding the data, and (4) data analysis. The source data of this study is the village community Pamolokan Sumenep Madura. This research data in the form of all forms of greeting Madurese language used by the public Pamolokan Sumenep Madura. Based on these results, the shape of the preference for female participants used by the village community Pamolokan Sumenep Madura, among others: emba [əmba], nyai [ ai], jujuk [juju?], ebok [ebo?], ummi [ummi], emmak [əmma?], embuk [əmbu?], elek [əlle?], alek [ale?], embak [əmba?], adek [ade?], cebbing [cəbíŋ], name of the person. While the word Madurese language greeting used to greet male participants include: emba [əmba], kaeh [kaeh], bapak [bapa?], eppak [əppa?], aba [aba], elek [əlle?], anom [anom], kakak [kaka?], emas [əmas], kacong [kacoŋ], adek [ade?], alek [ale?], name of the person. The function of the preference that exists in rural communities Pamolokan Sumenep Madura, both used to greet participants were female and male participants were as follows: (1) Respect, (2) Kinship, and (3) Familiarity. The meaning of the word greeting in the village Pamolokan Sumenep Madura is a call for a grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, uncle, aunt, brother, sister, child, and the name of the person.
