The research was done at August 29th to September 17th 2008 at Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Bastiong Ternate North Maluku. The research aimed to find out the caught achieved productivity and the production level at Ternate Island North Maluku, to find out optimum way to give the maxium caught and defend biomass stock in balance condition and find out the caught amount allowed while defended the fish biomass in balance condition. Research method was survey method to consider the fish stock biomass in a region. Analysis used was Schaeffer method whcih aimed to find out the optimum caught effort, how many the maximum caught result, how many percentage used, MSY (maximum sustainable yield) and how many the allowed caught. The result showed that the largest production in Bastiong water area was Tongkol fish with 26% percentage and Cakalang fish 25%, while the optimum caught 672 (unit/year), the maximum caught defend on fish stock biomass in balanced condition (MSY was 5734 ton per year, usage percentage was 75 % or lack of 5 % than it supposed to be and the allowed caught was 4587 per years. . The result showed that the caught region status in Perairan Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Bastiong Ternate North Maluku was lack of usage since the latest caught had not more than the allowed caught and the maximum sustainable yield. The research suggested to keep the stabiltiy of water area by giving knowledge to the fishermen, by inviting the expert in fish caught to give illumination to the fishermen so that there would be a balance condition in water and also the optimal and balanced production, keep trying the complete tool which were arranged and balanced, but showed the support factors of the water area, continuing the research with more data in 10 years range. It was done to get better result from the complete data.
