Abstract

The attitude of students is a form of evaluation or feeling reaction, that is an attitude which is a combination of cognitive components, affective and konasi which is interact an object. This research has a purpose to describing students’ attitude towards mathematic learning process in scientific and skilled subject of mathematic and computation department in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of University Muhammdiyah of Malang. This research uses a phenomenological qualitative and using descriptive research as the research design. The source of the data in this study were students of mathematic and computation department in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of University of Muhammadiyah Malang, who is the subject of research are the students in the first years of mathematic and computation department in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of University of Muhammadiyah Malang 2009/2010 From the results of research, it can be seen on the three components of attitude. Based on the cognitive components as 4,54% answered strongly disagree, 15,52% answered disagree, 40.15% of overall students answered hesitantly, 29.16% answered agree and 10.60% answered strongly agree. The value of the overall average score was 3.052. Based on the affection components as 4,99% answered strongly disagree, 11,74% answered disagree, 25,54% of overall students answered hesitantly, 28.78% answered agree and 20.90% answered strongly agree. The value of the overall average score was 3.667. Based on the konasi components as 8,83% answered strongly disagree, 16,66% answered disagree, 27.77% of overall students answered hesitantly, 27.77% answered agree and 13.88% answered strongly agree with the value of the overall average score was 3.489.
