Marriage is a holy relation to unite tow human beings that are different in physical, psychological and background aspect. The marriage not only marry our beloved person, but also their family and environment. The condition add the our function and roles. When be conditioned by additional role because of marriage, then the more obligation will be. It is the logical consequence of the new role as husband / wife. Because of that, in the marriage, each individual that tied to marriage should make adjustment. One thing that influence a spouse ability in adjustment with marriage is emotional maturity. The emotional maturity will determine is the person able to adjust with the emerging problem in the marriage. The purpose of this research is understanding relation between emotional maturity and marital adjustment husband and wife couples. This research is done at young couple married, with marriage age of 1-2 years, initial mature age (21-40 years old), and minimum education is Senior high school. It is correlation research with subject of 60 persons (30 spouse) that domiciled at Landung Sari village of Malang Regency. The data collection is done by using scale to discover the relation between emotional maturity and marital adjustment. And the analyze technique used product moment corelations with SPSS 12 program. According the analysis it get correlation (r calculated)= 0.757 with significant (P) = 0.000. it is mean we got positive relation and significant between emotional maturity and marital adjustment, it means that the higher emotional maturity of couple then the better their marital adjustment, and the lower emotional maturity then the worse their marital adjustment. Contribution effective of emotional maturity for marital adjustment is 57.3% it from determinant coeficient (r2) of 0.573. It mean the emotional maturity variable give contribution of 57.3% for marital adjustment and the residu 42.7% is an other variable that not be researched.
