Abstract
Formally, the education provided to students from elementary schools (SD) for the purpose, among others, preparing for students able to face life evolving through logical thinking, rational, critical, careful, honest, efficient, and effective. To achieve these objectives one student learned the material must be given clearly. To be able to convey the material clearly, there are several models must be controlled by the teacher one of which is thematic learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of learning mathematics with thematic learning model in class IIIB SD of Muhammadiyah 09 "Panglima Sudirman" Malang. Knowing the students' classroom learning completeness IIIB SD of Muhammadiyah 09 "Panglima Sudirman" Malang in mathematics lessons with thematic learning model. Knowing the response of students in grade IIIB SD of Muhammadiyah 09 "Panglima Sudirman" Malang towards learning mathematics with thematic learning model. Usefulness of research to be achieved can be used as a reference for teachers to know the extent to which students understand the concept with thematic learning model, and teachers can use the appropriate methods for student learning. From the results of research conducted shows that the average value of teachers' activities after six meetings, including the category "high". While the activities of students from meeting one and two are "high". Student learning outcomes for mathematics subjects showed that of 29 students who take the test, which meets KKM as many as 23 students with a percentage of 79.31% and that do not meet as many as 6 students with a percentage of 20.69%. So the result of learning mathematics with thematic learning model otherwise complete. While the response to thematic learning average positive student that is equal to 75.48%. Learning mathematics with thematic learning model can be further improved in penerapnya in mathematics lessons in the classroom because it can motivate students to be more active in learning mathematics.
