This research based on the print mass media, specifically for magazine. The development of magazine in Indonesia was happened since Orde Baru Era. That development is about magazine segmentation. Start from news magazine till infotainment magazine, from kids magazine until adult. Cita Cinta magazine ia a new innovation from Femina Group. The segmentation of this magazine are for young lady who have attain the age of 20-30 years old. Now, the problem of this research is how female student of communication department perception about Cita Cinta magazine. The purpose of this research is to know how the perception female student about Cita Cinta magazine. The perception of this research is how female student give a view about Cita Cinta magazine . That problem was considered from magazine package, language, rubric, and the price og magazine. Theory of this research is use and gratification theory. This research use descriptive cualitative research. The object of this research are female student of journalism concentration communication department generation of 2007 Muhammadiyah University of Malang. Researcher used questionare to know how much sum of the female student who had read Cita Cinta magazine as much as three times. The result of this research show that they have a positive perception about Cita Cinta magazine. The female student like the practicality of the packaging, the diversity of content, easily language and the price was achieved.
