Cylinder liner is part of the burning engine, whereas this cylinder is gone through by piston and piston-rod. Cylinder liner has direct contact with piston-wall therefore it need strong material and good manufacture characteristic. One components of car is cylinder liner, where this liner has the function as the place for moving piston and a place where the burning event occur as the driver of motor. Production of this cylinder is by using centrifugal foundry. During cylinder liner production there is machinery process, where main machinery process used is the grinding process. Grinding process is a process to decrease the outside diameter of the product by using grinding stone with particular level of fineness. This product is the kind of not-ready-to-be-used product, therefore many outside diameter in machinery is used in cylinder block. This process is known as the finishing process. Controlling using X map is expected to tell us about how far the product outside diameter accuracy by using grinding machine, and if there is any divergence, what elements need to be fixed in grinding process. From the data analysis result, it shows that product result from grinding machine is less controllable, and besides the product resulted from the process is lacking precision. From the calculation of grinding process there are several things need to be fixed and other things need to notice by the employees about standard timing in foundry process.
