Background: Stroke is the biggest neurologic disease in Indonesia, and it need a treatment as quick as possible. The certain diagnose of stroke can be determined by CTScan’s result. Nevertheless, there will an alternative examination in diagnosing the stroke namely gadjah mada algorithm score. The usage is easier, faster and non invasive. Objective: The purpose of this research is to identify sensitivity and specificity of gadjah mada algorithm score compared by the CTScan in diagnosing patients with hemorrhagic stroke or ischemic stroke. Method & Sample: The design research used is analysis observational with cross sectional method and diagnosis test. The research sample used are 83 stroke patients that hospitalized innerve room of RSU Haji Sukolilo, RSU Jombang, and RSU doctor Soetomo Surabaya from June to August 2009 period. The patients have been checked by gadjah mada algorithm score, with the certain diagnose by using CTScan. Result of The Analysis: The experimental showed that many case of stroke patients happened on age >60 about 48.2%. The gender about was 49.4% male and was 50.6% female. The characteristic of clinical manifestations based on Algoritma gadjah mada method there was 73,7% had decrease consciousness, 57,9% had headache, 57,9% had positive Babinski reflex on patients under diagnose of hemorrhagic stroke.The diagnostic test for gadjah mada algoritm examination toward the stroke patients has obtained 73.33% for sensitivity, 89.47% for specificity, and 80.72% for the accuracy. Conclusions: The examination of gadjah mada algorithm score as a supporting examination in diagnosing hemorrhagic or ischemic stroke patient has middle sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy.
