Abstract

Keywords: Objectivity Releases Direct Election of return embodies the fundamental rights of people in the region by providing a full authority in the context of recruitment of local leaders. These local elections were first held in a direct manner. Jump is meant is the head of the elected directly by the people from the area in question in that context, the state provides the opportunity for people in the region to determine their own leaders and determine their own policy concerning any form of dignity to people's living areas. The researcher considers necessary lifting column in Radar Malang election to be investigated because the mass media, in this case is the Radar Malang, because Radar Malang always aggressively raise coverage direct election of regional heads that appear in the Regional Head Election rubric "Towards Pringgitan (Regent Selection). Objectivity of the press is the most basic concepts related to the quality of information which is a special form of media practice and also a special attitude towards the task of collecting, processing and dissemination of information. Its main characteristics include taking a firm position and neutral attitude towards the object were reported. This means the absence of subjective or personal involvement. The next characteristic is the absence of impartial nature, not taking sides in the debate or not to show propensity. Objectivity can be measured through the preaching of neutrality and balance. Neutrality proclamation which includes the news media in the form of words that contain opinion by not siding with a political party or candidates of political parties that participated in the nomination of local election. For instance, indicated by the word should, should, could, expect, forecast, and so forth. Pemberitaanadalah loading balance coverage measured from the number of words originating from the one of the sources of the other party. While the selection of Regional Head and deputy Head of the Region are the means of implementation of popular sovereignty in the region and the province or district or city based on Pancasila and the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945 to select the Regional Head and Deputy Head of the Region. This study uses content analysis method that raised section in the local elections that fit on Radar Malang Edition July 2005. The sampling technique used is total sampling where samples are drawn from the entire population that there are as many as 30 editions or publication. The unit of analysis in this study is the script and the unit of measure words contained in the rubric regent elections in 2005 which was published in Radar Malang. The results of this study indicate that there is partiality by Radar Malang. This is indicated by the presence in almost every word opinion publications. Only on July 27, 2005 edition there was no word opinion. Overall this partiality appears 29 times in several paragraphs on each of its issue. While in the category of the balance, Radar Malang 17 edition featuring direct election coverage and as much as 13 times the coverage of the tested and approved by two koder through the consent of one party source to source from other parties. Than 17 times the issue and approved 13 koder published by the end result is 76.5 percent, so the results would be accepted as sufficient confidence.
