Abstract

Conflict is inevitable in life. Teenagers are one of the subjects that are vulnerable to conflict. Conflicts experienced by diverse youth, including internal and external conflict. Many things affect resolution of conflicts, among other emotions, habits, motivation, talent and so forth. This study aims to examine differences in conflict resolution styles in adolescents and young talent is not talented. The hypothesis there are differences in conflict resolution styles in adolescents and young talent is not talented. The study was a qualitative study with 60 subjel study of 30 subjects obtained gifted adolescents using purposive sampling technique and 30 subjects did not talented teenagers from random technique. The whole subject is the students SMU 3 Malang. Methods of data collection is conflict resolution style scale with Thurstone scale basis. The data analysis technique used is obtained Chi-Square and Chi-Square value = 17 067 and p = 0.000 for the level of significance of 5%. From these calculations, the working hypothesis in this study received. It can be concluded that there are differences in adolescent conflict resolution styles of gifted and talented teens are not, in terms of gifted adolescents tend to choose the style that emphasizes conflict resolution to other people and not gifted adolescents tend to choose the style of conflict resolution that emphasizes the self.
