Abstract
Dry skin is a type of skin that is problematic because the skin looks dull and not bright.Dry skin due to lack of production of sebaceous oils and lack of water content resulting in a tendency to premature aging and wrinkles. Decreased skin moisture values can be overcome by giving care to the skin. Treatment can be done with topical preparations that contain moisturizers and antioxidants, one of which is an emulgate moisturer containing Aloe Vera, Caffeine and Vitamin E. The study aims to look at the humidity value of human skin on the use of aloe vera, caffeine, and vitamin E emulger moisturs. The trial was conducted using 16 subjects each applied a placebo on the right hand and applied aloe Vera Emulger Moisturizer, Cafein, and Vitamine E on the left hand for 4 weeks. The data obtained was tested for normality and homogeneity. Data of moisture values compared to values before and after the study compared with the Repeated Measures Anova test. The results of the study showed that in the control group and treatment produced a meaningful p<0.05 which indicates that there were significant differences before and after the application of the Moisturizer containing Aloe Vera, Caffeine, and Vitamin E. Both groups showed changes, but the range of improvement in the treatment group was larger compared to the control groups. Thus, emulgate moisturizers containing Aloe Vera, Caffeine and Vitamin E are known to increase human skin moisture values more than the control group.
