Abstract

In Indonesia today, violence whether it is individually or even mass, it has been the daily news that ready to be seen in every occasion, crime or disturbance. Violence can be occurred in everywhere, this action can be verbal violence (abusive words) or physical violence (hit, fight, etc) that is called as aggressively. Aggression is such kind of activity aimed to hurt other and destruct others. From many forms of aggression, one of its causes is because of stress. Stress is everywhere and whenever. Stress is suppressed feeling, it makes people tend to offended, irascibility, and concentration toward their job become disturbed. Stress can be raised by environment factor, failure factor in reaching wishes or such target, conflicts in socioeconomic, and disasters also other factors. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between stress and aggression behavior in Secata Students Pk. Level I Dodik Sarmil Rindam V/Brawijaya. It is non-experiment research design. It is conducted in Dodik Sarmil Rindam V Brawijaya Magetan. Data is gained from 80 students of secata level I year 2008/2009. This study is conducted by using SPSS 12.00 program with product moment analysis technique. The instrument of data collection is using scale. It consists of two scales, scale of stress level and scale of aggression behavior. Scale of stress level, comprise: job demand, physical demand, role demand, and interpersonal demand. The result of this study shows that there is positive relationship and very significant between stress level and aggression behavior of secara students in Dodik Sarmil Rindam V Brawijaya Magetan, (r = 0,671; Sig = 0,0001 < 0.050). The stress level has effective distribution toward aggression behavior of students, 45%.
