Abstract

Population is a very complex problem faced by various countries in Indonesia, including Java. This research aims to analyze and determine the effect of the Demographic Bonus on Economic Growth on the Island of Java. The focus of this research is on 6 provinces on the island of Java during the 2015-2022 period. The method used in this research is panel data regression with secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency. By obtaining the best model, Fixed Effect Model. Partially, the research results show that the Dependency Ratio variable has a negative and significant effect on economic growth, HDI has a positive and insignificant effect on economic growth, the productive age population has a negative and insignificant effect on economic growth, the Unemployment Rate has a negative and significant effect on economic growth, and The working population has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. Simultaneously, the Dependency Ratio, HDI, Productive Age Population, Unemployment Rate and Working Population influence economic growth.
