Abstract
This study was motivated by the low level of students’ creative thinking skills in mathematics learning, particularly on the topic of integers at SMP. Preliminary observations revealed that classroom instruction was still teacher- centered, the use of digital learning media was limited, and students’ creative thinking abilities had not yet reached the expected level. Therefore, it was necessary to develop an Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) based on the Discovery Learning model and assisted by Liveworksheets to enhance students’ creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to develop a Discovery Learning- based E-LKPD that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the creative thinking skills of seventh-grade students at SMP. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of 5 students in the small-group trial and 15 students in the large-group trial. The research instrument
s included interview guidelines, expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest tests measuring creative thinking skills. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain analysis, and the Paired Sample t-test. The results indicated that the developed E-LKPD was considered valid based on evaluations by material experts and media experts, making it suitable for classroom implementation. In terms of practicality, the E-LKPD obtained an average student response score of 3.08, which falls into the category of practical without revision. Regarding effectiveness, the N-Gain analysis showed an improvement in students’ creative thinking skills, with an N-Gain score of 0.51 (moderate) for the small-group trial, 0.72 (high) for the large-group trial, and an average N-Gain score of 0.61 (moderate). Furthermore, the Paired Sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The mean score increased from 36.00 in the pretest to 45.40 in the posttest, with t = 21.119, df = 14, and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. These findings demonstrate that the Discovery Learning-based E-LKPD assisted by Liveworksheets was effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills. In conclusion, the Discovery Learning-based E-LKPD assisted by Liveworksheets met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness and is therefore appropriate for use as a learning medium to enhance students’ creative thinking skills in learning integers.
