Abstract
Final-year students are considered a vulnerable group experiencing academic and psychological pressure during the thesis completion process. High academic demands, limited time, and anxiety about the future often contribute to a decline in students’ psychological well-being.This study aims to examine the effect of academic self-efficacy on psychological well-being among final-year students. Final-year students are considered a vulnerable group experiencing psychological pressure due to the demands of completing their thesis, thus requiring internal factors such as self-efficacy to maintain their psychological well-being. This research employed a quantitative approach using a simple linear regression method. The participants consisted of 388 final-year students selected through accidental sampling. The instruments used were the academic self-efficacy scale and the psychological well-being scale based on Ryff’s theory. The results showed that academic self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on psychological well-being, with a beta coefficient of 0.780 and a p of 0.000. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) was 60.9%, indicating that academic self-efficacy contributes to psychological well-being.
