Abstract
Bullying remains one of the most prevalent problems in the school environment and has negative impacts on students' psychological, social, and academic development. Bullying encompasses not only physical violence but also verbal, relational, and social forms that disrupt the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment. Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam) plays a strategic role in character development by instilling noble moral values as a preventive measure against bullying. This study aims to identify the forms of bullying that occur at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Sempu and to analyze the implementation of Islamic Religious Education values in preventing bullying behavior within the school.
This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, and students. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon under investigation.
The findings reveal that the forms of bullying identified at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Sempu include physical, verbal, and relational (social) bullying. Bullying prevention is implemented through the internalization of Islamic Religious Education values, including *rahmah* (compassion), *ukhuwah* (brotherhood), *ta'awun* (mutual assistance), *amanah* (responsibility), *shidq* (honesty), justice, patience, and self-control. These values are integrated through Islamic Religious Education instruction, teachers' role modeling, religious practices, a religious school culture, guidance and counseling services, social activities, and the fair and consistent enforcement of school regulations.
The study concludes that the systematic and continuous internalization of Islamic Religious Education values serves as an effective strategy for preventing bullying, fostering students with noble character, and creating a safe, religious, harmonious, and conducive school environment that supports the learning process.
