Abstract

The dodol production process among many MSMEs still relies on traditional methods that are time-consuming and labor-intensive. This study aims to design a semi-automatic dodol mixing machine with a 5 kg capacity and to evaluate the impact of varying machine speeds (rpm) on vibration levels. The research methodology encompasses the design, construction, and testing of the machine at rotational speeds of 30, 35, 40, and 45 rpm. Vibration measurements were conducted at each rotational speed using a vibration meter. The results indicate that the average vibration level was 65 mm/s at 30 rpm, rising to 75.4 mm/s at 35 rpm, 85.6 mm/s at 40 rpm, and 104.1 mm/s at 45 rpm. Higher rotational speeds resulted in increased vibration levels. Therefore, the machine speed must be carefully selected to strike a balance between mixing effectiveness and machine stability.
