IMPLEMENTASI METODE TASALSULI DALAM MENGHAFAL AL-QUR'AN DI PONDOK PESANTREN TAHFIZH DAARUL QUR'AN SEMARANG DAN TANGERANG

This reflective study aims to describe the implementation of the Tasalsuli method in the process of Qur'an memorization and to evaluate its effectiveness in maintaining the quality and accuracy of memorization (itqan). The focus of this study is based on the author's empirical experience during six years of education at Daarul Qur'an Tahfizh Islamic Boarding Schools in Semarang and Tangerang.The Tasalsuli method is a sequential memorization technique that emphasizes intensive repetition and the progressive integration of verses, one verse at a time, before proceeding to new material. The findings indicate that the application of the Tasalsuli method is capable of developing a strong and deeply rooted memorization structure. Through a system of morning halaqah sessions for memorization submission (setoran) and afternoon halaqah sessions for review (muroja'ah), the implementation of this method enabled the author to memorize 16 juz (Juz 1–15 and Juz 30) with a mutqin level of proficiency.Although this method requires strict time management, strong perseverance, and considerable effort to overcome periods of fatigue and boredom, the outcomes tend to be more sustainable in the long term compared to other accelerated memorization methods. This study concludes that intrinsic motivation, the support of the pesantren's socio-cultural environment, and consistency in repetition are key factors contributing to the successful implementation of the Tasalsuli method. Furthermore, the spiritual meaning derived from this process contributes to character development, personal responsibility, and the enhancement of students' affective qualities in their daily lives.
