Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of the OIDDE (Orientation, Identify, Discussion, Decision, and Engage in Behavior) learning model on virus material on the problem-solving and ethical decision-making ability of class X students at SMAN 2 Sampit, East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. The research population amounted to 70 students divided into two classes. The sampling technique used total sampling, with class XA as the experimental class and class XB as the control class. The research instruments are in the form of problem-solving ability tests and ethical decision-making questionnaires that have been validated by experts. Data analysis was carried out using normality, homogeneity, paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, N-Gain, effect size, and ANCOVA. The results showed that the OIDDE learning model had a significant effect on students' ethical decision-making with an ANCOVA value of F = 21.893 and a significance of 0.000 (<0.05). In addition, the OIDDE model also has a significant effect on students' problem-solving ability as shown by a higher increase in post-test scores compared to the control class. The N-Gain value of ethical decision-making of 0.60 is in the medium category, while the effect size indicates a very large category. Thus, the OIDDE learning model is effectively used to improve students' problem-solving and ethical decision-making abilities on virus materials.
