EFEKTIVITAS PENGELOLAAN USAHA PENGAIRAN OLEH BUMDES DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS PERTANIAN DI DESA TURI KABUPATEN MAGETAN

This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the irrigation management carried out by the Turi Bangkit Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in helping to increase agricultural productivity in Turi Village, Magetan Regency. Furthermore, this study also aimed to identify any obstacles encountered in the management process. Turi Village is known as an agrarian village, as the majority of its residents are farmers. Therefore, water availability is crucial for the smooth running of agricultural activities. The existence of an irrigation well business unit managed by the Turi Bangkit BUMDes is one solution to addressing water shortages, especially during the dry season.
This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, direct field observations, and documentation. After data collection, the researchers analyzed the data through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study also adhered to the BUMDes management concept stipulated in Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages and the BUMDes management concept according to Maryunani (2010).
Based on the research results, the management of the irrigation business by the Turi Bangkit BUMDes can be considered quite effective. This is evident in the clear organizational structure, the clear division of tasks among management, the implementation of work regulations, and the regular recording and reporting of financial data. The irrigation services provided help farmers reduce the risk of crop failure, increase cropping intensity, and improve agricultural production. Furthermore, this irrigation program contributes to Village Original Income (PADes) and increases community income. However, several challenges remain, such as limited human resources for oversight.
