Abstract
The rapid growth of digital technology has made Mobile Legends one of the most widely played online Games among adolescents, potentially influencing their communication behavior. This study aims to analyze the effect of Mobile Legends on the communication behavior of adolescents aged 13–17 in Dusun Pendopo, Liprak Kidul Village, Banyuanyar District, Probolinggo Regency, using the Stimulus–Organism–Respon (S-O-R) theory. This research employs a quantitative explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 40 respondents using a total sampling technique. The independent variable (Mobile Legends usage) was measured through the dimensions of stimulus, organism, and Respon, while the dependent variable (communication behavior) includes openness, empathy, Supportiveness, positive attitude, and positive regard. Data analysis consisted of validity and reliability testing, descriptive statistics, and simple linear regression. results indicate that Mobile Legends has a significant effect on adolescents’ communication behavior. The Game encourages increased openness, cooperation, confidence, and emotional connection among players, although negatif impacts such as verbal conflict were also observed. In conclusion, Mobile Legends exerts both positive and negatif influences on adolescents’ communication behavior. These findings highlight the need for proper guidance and supervision to ensure healthy and balanced gaming habits.
