Abstract
Academic procrastination is the behavior of postponing academic tasks that negatively impacts students' achievement and psychological well-being. High school students living in Islamic boarding schools are at risk of procrastination due to the demands of formal education and religious beliefs. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and academic procrastination in 223 high school students living in An-Nur 2 Islamic Boarding School, Bululawang, Malang. The study used a quantitative correlational approach with an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected through a self-confidence and academic procrastination scale, then analyzed using Pearson correlation. The results showed a significant negative relationship between self-confidence and academic procrastination, meaning that the higher the self-confidence, the lower the academic procrastination. This finding emphasizes the importance of developing self-confidence to reduce academic procrastination in high school students living in Islamic boarding schools.
