Pengaruh Media Literacy Skills terhadap Digital Citizenship melalui Media Literacy Effect pada Suami dan Istri di Kelurahan Tulusrejo, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang

This study aims to analyze the influence of Media Literacy Skills (X1) and Media Literacy Effect (M) on Digital Citizenship (Y) among married couples in Tulusrejo Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected through a survey by distributing questionnaires to respondents aged 25–44 years. The variables were measured using a Likert scale to objectively capture respondents’ perceptions regarding their digital competencies and ethical behavior in the digital environment. The findings indicate that media literacy skills and the perceived effects of media have a positive and significant influence on the quality of digital citizenship among the community. These results demonstrate that husbands and wives in Tulusrejo Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City, who possess critical abilities in processing information tend to be more prudent and responsible when interacting in cyberspace. This study confirms that media literacy serves as a fundamental foundation for productive adults in fostering a healthy digital ecosystem within the family environment.
