Abstract
Working parents with young children face dual-role demands that may affect their work engagement. This study describes work engagement conditions based on seven demographic characteristics work schedule type, working hours duration, job type, childcare support, income, gender, and job sector. A total of 851 parents of children aged 0–6 years were selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using the UWES-9 and analyzed with one-way ANOVA. Results
indicate that most demographic characteristics do not produce significant differences in work engagement. The only significant characteristic was job sector, with the highest engagement in education and the lowest in finance/banking. A positive trend was also observed in the company-provided daycare group, though not statistically significant. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening work meaning, autonomy, and workplace childcare facilities as strategies to enhance work engagement.
