Abstract

Media plays an important role in shaping public perception and attention toward various political issues in society. In the context of the 2024 General Election in Indonesia, the emergence of the documentary film Dirty Vote has become a notable political communication phenomenon as it highlights various issues related to alleged election fraud, abuse of power, and the politicization of public policies. The film not only presents information about political dynamics but also frames certain issues in ways that may influence how the public understands political events. This condition indicates the presence of a process through the framing of issues

presented in the documentary. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to analyze the process in the political dynamics of the 2024 General Election through framing analysis of the documentary film Dirty Vote. This research employs a qualitative approach using Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model, which consists of four elements: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, and treatment recommendation. Data were obtained through the analysis of narratives, dialogues, and visual elements in the documentary Dirty Vote. The findings show that the film frames the 2024 election as a democratic process facing integrity issues due to alleged fraud and political intervention, thereby placing these issues at the center of public attention.
