Abstract
Sexual harassment in the workplace is a problem that still occurs frequently, but often goes unnoticed because it takes many forms and is concealed in everyday professional interactions. Film, as a means of mass communication, has a role in conveying social messages, including the issue of sexual harassment, through visual representations that are close to reality. This study aims to analyze the visualization of sexual harassment against women in the workplace in the social campaign film #ThatsHarassment. This study uses content analysis with a descriptive qualitative approach and Louise F. Fitzgerald's Three-Factor Model of Sexual Harassment to identify the forms of harassment depicted, such as Gender Harassment, Unwanted Sexual Attention, and Sexual Coercion. From six segments, namely The Doctor, The Politician, The Photographer, The Coworker, The Actor, and The Boss, the results show that the representation of sexual harassment in the film appears through unwanted verbal, nonverbal, and physical behavior in unequal work relationships, whether by superiors, coworkers, or other professionals. The visualization of the scenes shows that sexual harassment can occur subtly and be normalized in the workplace, making it difficult for victims and those around them to recognize. These findings highlight the importance of visual media in helping to build public understanding of the boundaries of behavior that constitute sexual harassment in the workplace.
