Abstract

The parent-child relationship is an important form of emotional connection. In works of art, this relationship is evident in scenes, with gestures and visual narratives that indirectly convey affection. The music video for the song "Nina" from the album " Membangun & Menghancurkan" by .Feast depicts a mother-child relationship in scenes depicting simple everyday life. This study aims to understand how affection in the parent-child relationship is depicted in Nina's music video. The research focuses on the music video's scenes, examining how the gestures, expressions, and atmosphere convey meaning about family relationships.
The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a content analysis method based on the thinking of Klaus Krippendorff. The research data came from scenes in the music video and were then analyzed by categorizing them based on the unit of analysis, the scene within the music video. The results indicate that parental affection in Nina's music video is displayed through emotional presence, attention, protection, warm interactions, and the parents' ability to understand the child's emotional state. The study concludes that Nina's music video displays forms of affection in the parent-child relationship through comfort, security, presence, and sensitivity.
