Abstract

Early adulthood is a developmental period characterized by various adaptive demands in the domains of career, interpersonal relationships, and social life. During this phase, individuals are vulnerable to experiencing a quarter life crisis, a psychological condition marked by anxiety, confusion, emotional instability, and concerns about future uncertainty. Entry-level employees, who are in the transition from academic life to the workforce, are particularly at risk of experiencing this condition. This study aimed to examine the relationship between peer social support and quarter life crisis among entry-level employees aged 20–30 years. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A total of 364 entry-level employees were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using the Peer Social Support Scale and the Quarter life crisis Scale, both of which demonstrated adequate validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation. The results indicated a significant negative relationship between peer social support and quarter life crisis (ρ = -0.684; p < 0.01). These findings suggest that higher levels of peer social support are associated with lower levels of quarter life crisis. This study highlights the importance of peer social support as a protective factor in mitigating psychological distress during early adulthood.
