PENCEGAHAN PERJUDIAN SLOT DI FACEBOOK DI WILAYAH HUKUM KABUPATEN MALANG

This thesis discusses the prevention of slot gambling on facebook in the jurisdiction of Malang Regency. The rapid development of information technology has encouraged the emergence of new forms of crime, one of which is online gambling through social media platforms such as Facebook. In the jurisdiction of Malang Regency, the phenomenon of slot gambling is becoming increasingly prevalent and unsettling for the community. This study aims to examine (1) How is the mode of slot gambling on Facebook in the jurisdiction of Malang Regency. (2) How to prevent slot gambling on Facebook in the jurisdiction of Malang Regency. This study aims to reveal the working (modus operandi) of slot gambling perpetrators who use the Facebook platform and analyze the steps taken by law enforcement officials in efforts to prevent it. The method used is a juridical-sociological approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the research and discussion that the perpetrator's modus operandi includes the use of fake accounts, covert applications, transactions through digital wallets, as well as undercover technology such as VPNs and encryption to avoid tracking. Gambling activities are carried out in closed places such as homes or internet cafes. Prevention efforts are carried out through cyber patrols, community reporting, blocking of websites/applications, and legal counseling. However, obstacles are still faced, such as technological limitations and low community participation. Suggestions in this study Improve digital forensic technology to detect and track online gambling activities Socialization and education of the public to be more aware of the dangers and impacts of online gambling.
