Abstract
This study aims to formulate a conceptual framework for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) microlearning design on the TikTok platform as a response to the shifting learning paradigm of the digital generation. The focus of the problem includes the low innovation of PAI learning media that is adaptive to the characteristics of short videos and the pedagogical challenges in maintaining the validity of religious messages amid digital distractions. This study is a library research with a qualitative descriptive approach, using documentation methods analyzed through content analysis and bibliographic synthesis techniques. The results show that the PAI microlearning design has functional alignment with the characteristics of TikTok through the application of the principle of a single learning objective, a short, structured duration, and optimization of religious audio-visual aesthetics. However, its implementation faces challenges in the form of the
risk of material reductionism, problems with the authority of content truth, and the digital literacy gap of educators. As a solution, this study offers a concept for developing TikTok-based PAI learning that integrates thematic material curation, strengthening the role of teachers as digital moderators, and utilizing the platform's interactive features to build a digital ukhuwah community. Overall, TikTok can be developed as a transformative Islamic Religious Education (PAI) educational medium if it aligns with the ethics of preaching and the authenticity of Islamic teachings.
