Abstract
The use of daycare services among families with young children has increasingly become part of parenting practices in Indonesia. This condition makes parents’ psychological well-being important to consider, as it is related to parents’ ability to perform parenting roles optimally. This study aimed to examine the effect of parents’ perceptions of daycare services on parents’ psychological well-being. This study used a quantitative correlational approach involving 775 parents with children aged 0–6 years selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using the Parents’ Perception of Daycare Scale and the Flourishing Scale, then analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that parents’ perceptions of daycare services had a positive and significant effect on parents’ psychological well-being (B = 0.170; p = 0.042). This indicates that more positive perceptions of daycare services are associated with higher psychological well-being among parents. However, the contribution of the effect was very small (R² = 0.005), indicating that other factors play a more dominant role in influencing parents’ psychological well-being. This study highlights the importance of daycare service quality and communication in fostering positive parental perceptions to support parents’ psychological well-being
