Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, leverage, and firm size on firm value in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2024 period. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design and utilizes secondary data obtained from companies’ annual financial reports. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, resulting in 34 companies with a total of 136 observations during the study period. Firm value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV), profitability is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), leverage is measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and firm size is measured using the natural logarithm of total assets. Data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression and quantile regression with the assistance of SPSS 26. The results indicate that profitability does not have a significant effect on firm value across all quantiles, leverage has a positive and significant effect, and firm size has a negative and significant effect on firm value. The quantile regression results also show that there is no difference in the direction of the effects across quantiles; however, there are differences in the level of sensitivity across each quantile.
