UPAYA GERAKAN FEMINIS 4B (BIHON, BICHULSAN, BIYEONAE, BISEKSEU) DALAM MENENTANG DISKRIMINASI TERHADAP PEREMPUAN DI KOREA SELATAN

This study aims to analyze the efforts carried out by the 4B feminist movement (Bihon, Bichulsan, Biyeonae, Bisekseu) in resisting the discrimination experienced by women in South Korea. The analysis uses new social movement theory and cyberfeminism to explain how this movement resist the discrimination through social media. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. South Korea is one of the countries with a high level of gender inequality, which has triggered responses from the public. Through the concepts of social production and collective identity within the new social movement theory, the 4B feminist movement resists discrimination by reproducing existing meanings embedded in South Korean society and by build a collective identity through social media platforms such as X, Instagram, and YouTube. This process form a solidarity among women and generates collective awareness. The use of social media also creates a form of virtual sisterhood and serves as a space of liberation for women who have long been burdened by societal constructs.
