Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of coding instruction in strengthening the digital literacy of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Tulungrejo 3. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with research subjects consisting of a coding teacher, the school principal, and sixth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using source and technique triangulation.
The results indicate that coding instruction has been implemented in a planned and contextual manner through a learning by doing approach using the Scratch application. This instruction contributes to improving students’ digital literacy, particularly in the aspects of information literacy, learning skills, ICT literacy, and communication and collaboration. Therefore, coding instruction supports the strengthening of digital literacy among sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Tulungrejo 3.
