Abstract
Turnover intention is an issue that negatively impacts organizational sustainability, including in regional utility companies, which are characterized by high employee turnover rates. High turnover intention can disrupt the continuity of public service operations and is often associated with low levels of employee psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the influence of psychological well-being on turnover intention among employees in Company X within the regional utility sector. This study used a quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis. Participants consisted of 100 permanent employees selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that psychological well-being had a significant negative effect on turnover intention, meaning that higher levels of psychological well-being were associated with lower intentions to leave the organization. Psychological well-being contributed 67% of the variance in turnover intention, with the remainder influenced by other variables not examined in this study. These findings highlight that improving employee psychological well-being can be an effective strategy to reduce turnover intention and increase employee retention in the regional utility sector.
