Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing career mobility among the younger generation reflects the tendency to change jobs within a short period of time, which is conceptually known as job hopping intention. because they feel undervalued and perceive a lack of concern for their well-being. In addition, internal factors such as grit, or perseverance in achieving long-term goals, also influence an individual’s decision to stay or leave their workplace. This study aims to examine the effect of POS and grit on job hopping intention among generation Z employees with a bachelor’s degree in East Java. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 120 respondents who worked under the WFO system, aged 21–28 years, and had one to two years of work experience. The instruments used were the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support, the Grit Scale, and the Job Hopping Intention Scale . The results of the analysis show that Perceived Organizational Support and grit simultaneously and partially have a positive influence on job hopping intentions among generation Z workers in East Java.
