Abstract

This research is motivated by the queuing system in workshops that still uses manual methods. This causes long queues and it is unclear who is served first. The purpose of this study is to design and test a prototype of a structured mobile-based online workshop reservation application to help customers. The method used in this study is the Design Thinking approach which includes five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. The design evaluation was carried out using the Usability Testing method through the Maze platform and the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that the resulting prototype is able to meet specific user needs. Based on the Usability Testing test, a score of 98 was obtained in the High category. Meanwhile, the SUS score reached the Excellent category with a value of 85 for. The conclusion of this study is that the prototype of the online workshop reservation application designed has a high standard of usability and is very worthy of further development to make it easier for users to order workshop services.
