Abstract
Technological developments are increasingly developing over time, one of which is in the shopping process. Generation Z a generation that is accustomed to technological developments, this habit can cause Generation Z to be fixated on various and the latest information in their social environment. This can encourage individuals to experience a psychological condition called FOMO. This study was conducted to see the level of self-acceptance possessed by individuals. Individuals with a high level of self-acceptance will be more likely to focus on their strengths and weaknesses, so that individuals will not be easily influenced by comparisons or demands in their social environment. Conversely, individuals with a low level of self-acceptance will tend to feel left behind by others. This study used a quantitative approach with a total of 250 participants from Generation Z students who use TikTok Shop from various universities in Indonesia. The research instruments used were the Self-Acceptance and FOMO scales with a significance value of p <0.05. With a contribution value of 27.3% on the self-acceptance variable to the FOMO variable. Therefore, it was found that the hypothesis was accepted, meaning the influence of self-acceptance on FOMO of Generation Z students who use TikTok Shop.
