Abstract
Instagram is now not only a platform for sharing visuals but also a space for interaction and communication between content creators and their audiences. Engagement is a crucial aspect in determining the success of an Instagram account in building rapport with its followers. This study aims to understand the types of posts used by the Bimo PD Instagram account and their role in increasing audience engagement. This study used a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. The research data consisted of Bimo PD's Instagram posts over a specific period, which were analyzed based on content type, interaction patterns, engagement patterns, and language used in the comments section.
The results indicate that entertainment and OOTD (Outfit of the Day) posts generate higher engagement because they trigger two-way interactions between the account owner and followers, as well as between followers. Furthermore, the use of personal and casual language strengthens emotional rapport with the audience. The speed of audience response to posts also indicates active engagement with the uploaded content. Therefore, it can be concluded that certain types of posts, particularly entertainment and OOTD content, play a significant role in increasing engagement on the Bimo PD Instagram account. This research is expected to contribute to the development of digital communication studies and social media content management strategies.
